Basket strainers
Typical Service:
- Armstrong® fabricated BASKET Strainers can be designed to customer’s specific applications.
- Basket strainers are a simple and efficient system to protect vital plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, flowmeter, etc.
- ANSI/ASME are standard, with the capability to supply larger pipe size and/or higher pressure rating.
- Basket can be tailored to hold sufficient solids for the required time between clean-outs.
- Flange size can be selected to fix existing piping, or to achieve the required clean pressure drop.
- An exclusive software can calculate the pressure drop for any design condition.
- Maintenance reducing features include hinged cover with or without davit assembly.
- No special tooling required for installation and maintenance.
Design Code:
ASME VIII Div.1 / ASME B31.3
Range:
- Size from 2” to 48” – Class 150-300-600-900-1500-2500 lbs
- In-line or with Offset connections – Angle type
Design :
- BASKET type strainers are fabricated at the highest industrial standard from ANSI/ASME pipe (B36.10), fitting (B16.9) and flanges (B16.5).
- The screen is manufactured with perforated plate or wire mesh (or both) in stainless steel or other alloys to customer’s requirements.
Manufacturing:
- Full traceability of all parts of all strainers ever produced.
- All strainers are individually Hydrostatic tested and/or checked with examination on BW welds and MPI/DPI on Fillet welds.
- Quality System to ISO 9001
