Y strainers
Typical Service:
- Used extensively to strain foreign matter from pipeline and provide economical protection for costly pumps, compressors, valves or others equipment.
- Especially important where weld debris is likely present in the pipeline.
- Well suited for long service in high pressure and temperature applications.
Design Code:
ASME B31.3 / ASME B16.34
Range:
- FORGED Strainer: Size from ½” to 2” – Class 800-1500-2500 lbs.
CAST Strainers: Size from 2” to 24” – Class 150-300-600-900-1500-2500 lbs
Design :
- Cover fastened with bolts and nuts ensuring a better sealing and easy maintenance.
- Pressure Seal cover for high pressure leak-free service.
- The strainer body is designed with a corrosion allowance for longer life.
- Face-to-Face dimension to ASME B16.10 for easy interchangeability (2” and larger).
- Very low pressure drop, due to the generously sized screen.
- Machined seats in both body and cap align and lock the screen in place to stop the sediment.
- Machined seats facilitate alignment and accurate reseating after servicing.
- An exclusive software can calculate the pressure drop for any design condition.
Manufacturing:
- Full traceability of all parts of all strainers ever produced.
- All strainers are individually Hydrostatic tested to API 598/ASME B16.34/ASME B31.3
- Quality System to ISO 9001
Optional Special Features:
- Connections: Clamp or special flanges
- Drain: Any combinations of nipples, flanges, sockolet, weldolet, valves and plug
- DP Gauge: Optional connections
- Lining: Epoxy
- Coating: Any internal/external painting cycle
General Notes:
- STD blow off plug ¾”NPT
- Flanged ends to ASME B16.5
- BW Ends to ASME B16.25
